Lining the walls of Melbourne is plenty of graffiti and posters. Gives you a glimpse of the arts here. After living in Melbourne for 3 months plus now, I'm starting to feel that Singapore is too clean for its own good.
It needs culture, it needs attitude. In every alley, there's tons of these graffiti, and I know behind each and every one, there lies a story of anger, sadness, confusion, the need to vent. The need to express. Its made Melbourne into a city with attitude.
But before, you launch into the avalanche of graffiti pictures ahead, I caught this while walking through a lane of cafes and bars. Think they got themselves a tad confused. Hells downstairs, Heaven's upstairs. Get your facts right! =D
Below are pictures I captured while exploring with a friend.
There lies the alleys that come alive.
I'm an owl. Are you?
Only difference is that I don't smoke.
Lady nymph.
Ghost Buster.
Into a world where I belong.
Dead end.
Darkness beckons.
The walls tell their stories.
The cat's crying.
Do you need someone to comfort you?
Are you lonely?
Take me away with you.
Dark and eerie. Sin-ridden, maybe?
Materialism.
Even the bins are coloured.
A mosiac of pictures.
Cute skulls.
Hanging naked by ropes.
Caught red-handed.
Painted pictures.
A break from the pictures. Me trying to kiss the crab!
Is he my prince charming?
Chalk drawings on the ground.
Oh romeo, romeo
Wherefore art thou romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name,
Or if thou wilt not,
Be but sworn my love,
And I'll no longer be a capulet.
The seven seas.
Little Red Riding Hood.
This is of course, me.
Okay, fine, this is me.
Check out my hair! I wanted to streak it blue or green, but the hairdresser refused cause she said bleaching my hair would damaged it, so I streaked it red underneath my black hair. Subtle stuff. =( But I'm still bend on getting my blue.
I want and I will.
Just you wait.
