Hong Rui's Arrival.

Well, the title says it all.

14 July 2007

HR arrived on saturday evening after a screwed up 17 hours of flight. Power man, but the best thing was that I pulled him to club with me that very night itself! Haha, I was dying for some BLVD lovin' and the rest (meaning my melbourne phamalia) were either busy or sick or just didn't wanna come, so I was just pouting and whining the whole night through while walking and showing HR around the city. Hee..

Little did I know, the only guy that I didn't ask to club that night cause he stays in the suburbs, went to BLVD!! So I'm so thankful Jen msged me and asked me whether I was there, and off we went at freaking 1am!! Haha, the cover charge was 16 bucks, and BLVD closes at 3am, super not worth it, but nonetheless, I had fun at the end of it!

HR got to see why I loved the club so much. The music's AWESOME!! And to my dear Huilin, I kept my promise! No 151s that night. We were super good, didn't drink much at all. Actually, even at the dance floor, we were too sane, but with the music that good, it was fun! Wished you were there! A pity we took no pictures.

Oh! and one thing I must include. Haha, I think the friends HR made on his first day of orientation think he must be damn cool cause when they ask him what he did on his first day in melbourne. He told them, clubbing! Needless to say, they all had a shock. =D

16 July 2007

Last night, I went to watch Harry Potter with Jialin, Stacey and Hong Rui. We bought tickets at Nova Cinemas, which is the cheapest tickets we could find, and cause it was my first time watching at that cinema, we didn't know it was free-seating. So there we were 2 rows from the front, and for HR, 1 row. Haha, our eyes and neck were super pain after that! Especially for HR cause he's the tallest and he sat in the front row. Damn funny.

We went to eat at subway, Jialin went home, and Stacey, HR and me, went walking through the city pass Federation Square to the Yarra River, and then we saw the Ferris Wheel!! We didn't feel like going back home, or rather it was more of me la. I'm always so hyper, thats why they call me energizer bunny!

Tickets to the Ferris Wheel! Its not GIANT la, cause the people reading this will most probably be Singaporeans, and as usual Singapore has the BIGGEST ferris wheel in Asia, haha.

I like the shiny tint of the tickets!

HR posing with the tickets quite unsuccessfully.

Stacey stuck her hand out so far, we were scared she was going to lose it half-way by the passing carriages.

The wheel.

The 3 of us freezing our ass off at the top of the wheel. Super cold man. My lips and hands were numb.

The view from the top taken by my camera. A pity it can't take night landscape shots that well.

After that, it was just chilling at Lyncontro' til about 1am before we adjourn to the warmth of home sweet home.

Second Part of the Holidays

I didn't realised its Friday the 13th today! Not that it means much to me, but they've been going on about it on the morning shows. They call it Black Friday. Haha, this reminds me, my friend turns 21 today! He's been saying its so ominous. Come to think about it, I turn 21 in the midst of my exams! A HUGE bummer. My exams are from Nov 6 - Nov 23, and knowing Melbourne Uni, the third year students will probably be put in the last 1 1/2 weeks. So, my Nov 16 will probably be right smack in the middle. Bleah. And no, celebrating it earlier or later doesn't work. Its my 21st! Not that it matters much, cause voting doesn't appeal to me nor do watching R21 shows since you can just get it off the net! But apparently, they take 21st birthdays very seriously here, so I'll prolly throw a party!

Speaking of 21st birthdays, we went to a party in a club called Sevens (http://www.sevennightclub.com) on 07/07/07 to celebrate a friend's friend's brother's birthday party. Haha, its always like that when you hold a party at a club. You never know exactly who the people coming to your party are. Either way, the pictures are below.

But before I show the pictures, here are my results!! Released on 06/07/07, I couldn't sleep the night before cause I was expecting to fail at least one subject, but lo and behold, God is good! =D For the amount of effort I put in, it could only be Him, and not me doing the job. HUGE SMILES!! The parents are pretty impressed as well.

Speaking about the parents, they're in China now doing their missionary work from 10 july - 19. I can't say much about it cause they may get in trouble with the police, but I urge you friends to pray for their safety.

Anyway, here are my results!!

Here are the pictures from the party.

Me drinking cranberry juice. Yumyum.

All these girls are like the birthday boy's sister's friends, and with them in sight, the whole place gave me the feeling of a chinese KTV lounge. Whoops! Don't mean to be mean la. Ok, I shan't talk any further about them. Hee. Keep your opinions to yourself, Janice.

Shots galore.

Nice background. See, I was a good girl. I totally didn't touch alcohol after the really havoc night out 2 weeks ago at BLVD with the tons of champagne, shots, vodkas and Bacardi 151s.

I drank water! Ta dah!! So good right!! Haha, but it was more cause after that night out, my stomach's totally turned off by alcohol, which is an awesome thing. Whoopee! But I can foresee it won't last long. Bummer. =(

Birthday boy's ENORMOUS cake that he didn't get to eat, cause he was totally knocked out, and had to be carried out by the bouncer.

Paul and me. I think I look nicer with one eye close, and Paul went back on Thursday (10/07/07) for good.

Chik, Stef, Tav, Jan, Ian.

Having fun doing stupid poses.

Picture with the DJ, pardon my uncivilised friend. =)

A couple more scandalous stories arose from this night out, but the night out at BLVD 2 weeks ago still stands as the BEST and most havoc night out. Heehee, but none that you guys should worry about. Its all stories that we exaggerate to spice up our lives. Heeee.

First Part of Holidays

Ok..after some complains, I've decided to drag my lazy fingers and brain to blog again. You see, I was never a blogger, and never got into the blogging thing altogether. But since I came here, I decided to start blogging for the benefit of those close friends so that they'd know what I've been up to.

Haha, proved harder than I thought cause I'm not blogging material, and never got use to the idea of writing out my doings (thats why I've never kept a diary of sorts). Pictures are so much better. Hee..oh well, but I'll try my best! Here goes again. And when I have the time, I'll blog on the car plates and the sort of weird sushi flavours they have here. Its pretty cool! =D

Its been the holidays, and I've not been doing much! Just lazing around, and chilling with my friends here. Shopping, sightseeing, relaxing at my friend's house, partying, the works. Nothing much though, but in my opinion, its been one of the best holidays so far. There's just something about not worrying about anything in the world, doing whatever I want, relaxing and enjoying my own and my friends' company. Maybe the fact that the parents are not here also contributes a huge part to it. But I don't think so, cause I've not done anything which need the parents' permission. I guess sometimes its just nice to have a quiet holiday, or a quiet weekend. Stay in, chill, and just do simple/therapeutic stuff, like clearing out the garbage. Haha, I was helping my friend clear out heaps and heaps of plastic coke bottles cause he was too lazy to throw them out. I placed them in the recycling bin, and felt so good after that, like I killed 2 birds with 1 stone! I cleared his place, and did something environmental friendly. Soooo therapeutic man. You guys should try it. Just stay in one weekend, and maybe clear your room. Don't think so much, just throw whatever thats useless. The more you dwell on its sentimental value, the more you'll keep it! After clearing out bagloads from your room, the feeling of accomplishment is GREAT. Try it some time!

This was one of the weekends, me and my friends went to this K-Mart in the suburbs that opens 24 hours! We didn't buy anything much, just touch here touch there, play with stuff, fiddle with the gadgets, press all the buttons on the dolls. On the whole, just being a whole lot irritating to the K-Mart staff. Haha, thats why they kept walking pass where we were! Checking on us it seems! Hee, lucky we didn't get into trouble.

Miss bunny wabbit.

HUMONGOUS panties!!!

I totally love this nike dunks!! Went shopping one day at Smith Street, saw this, totally fell in love with it, plus my friend had this 30% discount thing, so the price fell to 60 bucks!! But save money I MUST!! I only buy stuff that scream to me. This dunks sure did! But when I tried it on, it didn't scream as hard as when I saw it on the shelf. Nevertheless, I shall post it for you guys to admire.

Intricate designs.

Then one day, while I was taking the tram home from the suburbs, I fell asleep half-way cause it was an hour's ride, and when I woke up and look out, I saw this familiar face crossing the road. Lo and behold, its matthias!! Wasn't too sure, so I rang up mummy, and she connected me to him. Haha, such a coincidence! He was here on holiday by himself, staying at his friend's apartment. Plus since his friend is working, I offered to bring him out! Pulled along a few friends, and off we went shopping at St. Kilda's, Bridge Road, Smith Street, and the works. Pretty sweet!

Infront of Krispy Kreme at Melbourne Central. Haha, cause he likes all things sweet and delightful, we brought him to eat all the really good cakes, donuts, ice cream. Yum yum!

Matt, me, Stacey.

Oh. I had to put this in. Haha, me and stacey bought this bra. Nothing special, but I TOTALLY LOVE the colour!! Its soooo gorgeous la!! Oh, and its weird that all 3 of us totally gelled (Don't think there's such a word, but oh well) together. I thought there would be some awkwardness, but there wasn't at all. I'm not close to matt AT ALL, and stacey and him don't even know each other, but the way all of us interacted was as if we knew each other for years. Can you imagine, we were all shopping for lingerie with matt around, just the first day we met him. Haha, and when we were trying out stuff, he was giving us opinions on which coat, or dress, or shoes, or pants is nicer, and vice versa. So cool.

At St Kilda's the next day. We saw 2 EXTREMELY gorgeous and HUMONGOUS dogs. A husky, and the maltese below. Maybe cause its winter, thats why they're much more furrier, hence, the really HUGE look. We saw so many dogs at st kilda's that day. Even one ENORMOUS poodle-like dog that was as big as the husky. Pity it didn't occur to me to take pictures.

Totally love how they style their shop's exterior.

Thats the end of the 2nd week of the holidays.
